Introduction
United Airlines just announced new Therabody Amenity kits for Polaris and Premium Plus Passengers. These Therabody kits will gradually start to roll out on international flights and replace the AWAY with Sunday Riley amenities that United was previously offering. I always enjoy collecting new amenity kits when flying a premium cabin and often like to rotate which one I take with me on my travels. Let’s take a closer look at the new United Therabody Premium Plus and Therabody Polaris kits and see what’s contained.

United Premium Plus Therabody Kit
United’s new Premium Plus Therabody Kit is a gray-colored soft shell travel pouch that appears to have a single zipper at the top and a single blue side strap. The Premium Plus Therabody Pouch will contain the following contents:
- Therabody Travel Pouch
- TheraFace Hand Cream (10mL)
- TheraFace Cleansing Towelette (5mL)
- TheraFace Lip Balm (3.3g)
- Socks Single Use (recycled polyester)
- Sleep Mask Single Use (recycled polyester)
- Colgate Toothpaste (5g)
- Earplugs
- Tissues
- Toothbrush (bamboo)
- Therabody Paper Card and Pouch

This kit will replace the purple AWAY kit I received the other week flying United Premium Plus from CDG-IAD. Personally, I’m a fan of this new Therabody gray color more than I am the purple which I believe was intended to match the purple seats of the Premium Plus cabin. Based on comparing the kit contents, it looks like the new Therabody kit will also include a cleansing towelette, tissues, and a nicer bamboo toothbrush. The Sunday Riley Hand Cream and Lip Balm will be replaced by TheraFace contents. So overall, I’d say the Therabody kit is a bit of a nice upgrade against the previous AWAY kit.

United Polaris Therabody Kit
United’s new Polaris Therabody Kit is a soft shell crossbody bag that looks to come in either a light gray or dark gray color option. The United Polaris Therabody crossbody bag looks to contain the following contents:
- Therabody Crossbody Bag
- TheraFace Hand Cream (10mL)
- TheraFace Cleansing Towelette (5mL)
- TheraFace Hydrating Mist (10mL)
- TheraFace Eye Serum (5mL)
- TheraFace Lip Balm (3.3g)
- Socks Single Use (recycled polyester)
- Sleep Mask Single Use (recycled polyester)
- Colgate Toothpaste (5g)
- Earplugs
- Tissues
- Pen
- Toothbrush (bamboo)
- Therabody Paper Card and Pouch

Reddit user tiagoscharfy has posted some specific images from his flight if you’d like to take a closer look. I loved his follow up comment about wearing it as a fanny pack throughout the flight 😂

The Therabody crossbody bag will replace United’s previous hard-shell AWAY case that was designed to look like a suitcase. Personally, I prefer hardshell, but I know others who prefer the soft shell as it can fit into a carry-on a bit easier. Overall, the contents are quite similar to the AWAY kit it replaces with just a few exceptions. Like with Premium Plus, the Sunday Riley amenities are replaced with TheraFace amenities. Instead of receiving Face and Hand cream from the AWAY kit, you’ll now receive Hydrating Mist and Eye Serum.
Overall, I’d say this Therabody crossbody bag is about the same as the previous offering but if you prefer hard-shell cases you may view this as a downgrade.

Pilot Debrief
United announced new Therabody amenity kits today that will replace the AWAY and Sunday Riley kits previously being offered on international flights. The new Therabody kits are being offered in both United Premium Plus and United Polaris. Some lucky United fliers this week have already received the new kit and posted images of the contents on Reddit.
I always enjoy collecting new amenity kits and appreciate it when airlines introduce new versions to keep things fresh. For United Premium Plus travelers, I view the new Therabody kit as an upgrade due to some additional contents and a color scheme I prefer. For Polaris customers, the Therabody kit has a few different amenities, but you may view it as a downgrade going from the AWAY hardshell to a crossbody bag.
